Tim Fallon Named CEO of Fallon Ambulance Service
James R. "Ray" Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of Fallon Ambulance Service, has announced that his son, Tim Fallon, will be the company's new CEO, effective September 1. Tim Fallon's promotion will coincide with Mr. Fallon's retirement from the business that his father founded in 1936.
Tim Fallon, a resident of Milton, began working at the company as an EMT and dispatcher in 1980. Ten years later, he became the Chief Operating Officer of the company.
A lifelong Milton resident, Tim Fallon has served on Milton's Educational Foundation as well as the nonprofit organization Residents for the Elderly, and is a member of both the Massachusetts Ambulance Association and the American Ambulance Association.
He and his wife Susan have two children, James and Abigail.
The new CEO said that he does not foresee a major change in direction for Fallon Ambulance, which is the largest, independently owned ambulance company in New England. "My father, Ray Fallon, has been an excellent guiding force for our family-operated business," said Fallon, who noted that the company in the last decade has doubled its number of employees and dramatically increased the municipalities and nursing care facilities to which it provides care. He said, "Ray leaves big shoes to fill. He, like his father before him, built this business on trust and integrity, and the belief that hard work and value to clients is its own reward."
He added, "All of us at Fallon Ambulance owe a huge debt to Ray Fallon. He is both an excellent mentor and friend."
Fallon said that the company will continue its plans to expand into new municipalities, as well as the scope of coverage for hospitals and nursing care facilities. The firm recently renewed a contract as 9-1-1 provider for the city of Quincy, and is currently pursuing 9-1-1 arrangements with several new municipalities. Additionally, Fallon Ambulance is expanding its community service outreach programs.
