Fallon Ambulance Service Opens New South Boston Location
BOSTON AND QUINCY, MA, ISSUED SEPTEMBER 20, 2006 Fallon Ambulance Service, the region's largest independent, family-owned ambulance service provider, has announced the opening of a new service facility located at 345 D Street in South Boston .
The 5,000 square foot facility will be staffed by professionals including Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics. The garage will house between 20 and 24 ambulances and will serve the growing Boston area and provide support to Fallon's existing client base. Fallon Ambulance provides services in Boston to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital , Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center , and New England Medical Center and will be now be providing services to Boston Medical Center.
“This new facility enables us to continue to provide the best care and service for the region,” said Peter Racicot, Senior Vice President of Business Development. “From our state of the art communication center in Quincy we are able to provide medical transportation for the residents within our area of coverage. Our commitment to the region is long standing and as an active member of the Response Division (Metro-STAR), a consortium of 43 local police and sheriff's departments located south of Boston , we are a respected presence in the area.”
 Move Signals Firms Continued Expansion Into MetroWest Market
Fallon Ambulance Service announced the opening of a new service facility at 55 Rumford Avenue in Waltham.
The move signals the company’s increased commitment to expansion in the MetroWest market, said Peter Racicot, Senior Vice President.
Fallon Ambulance presently services a number of MetroWest healthcare facilities, including Newton Healthcare Center, Chetwynde Health & Rehab Center, the Beth Israel Deaconness in Needham, Epoch Senior Health of Chestnut Hill, and Elliott Healthcare Center in Natick. Racicot said he anticipates the company’s marketshare in MetroWest to increase dramatically with the presence of the office.
“We are actively seeking additional MetroWest healthcare facilities to work with,” said Racicot, adding, “We are also very interested in competing for the chance to offer primary 911 coverage for key communities.”
The new 5,000 square foot facility will be staffed by 14 professionals including Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics. In addition to supporting Fallon’s existing MetroWest client base, the Waltham location will support the ambulance firm’s other operations as well. Fallon Ambulance provides 911 service to Brookline, Dedham, Quincy, Milton, Braintree, and Weymouth.
“Although we have grown significantly in the last decade, there has been a perception that we are a South Shore company,” said Racicot. “While that is our base of operations, we have been expanding into the MetroWest area for a number of years. The new office affords us the opportunity to be an even greater presence in this growing region.”
In conjunction with the launch of their new office, Fallon Ambulance will offer a series of free CPR classes to the Waltham community. There will be additional community initiatives that will be announced also, Racicot said.

Christine Hamilton Honored By the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
Christine Hamilton, Director of Risk Management for Fallon Ambulance Service, has been awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the field of Critical Intervention StressManagement.
A native and resident of Milton, Hamilton joined Fallon Ambulance Service in 1983. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Curry College in Milton and actively maintains her Emergency Medical Technician certification.
The award was presented at the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ISISF) Conference, a nonprofit non-governmental organization in special consultative status with the economic and social council of the United Nations. Fallon Ambulance recently hosted a four day conference on critical incident stress management, for professionals working in the fields of crisis intervention, mental health, traumatic stress, emergency services & disaster mental health.

Eric McLaughlin Named Account Executive

Fallon Ambulance Service has recently named Eric McLaughlin as an Account Executive.
In his role as Account Executive, McLaughlin will support the company’s expansion in the Metrowest region. He will work to develop new accounts and provide service to existing clients. Before joining Fallon Ambulance Service McLaughlin was a Funeral Director in Quincy for 12 years and holds a Funeral Director’s license in MA. He is a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. McLaughlin resides in Quincy with his wife Erin and their daughter Hannah Rose. He is past president of the Scituate Country Club and is currently an active board member.

Great Additions to the Paramedic Team
Laurie Mendoza
Fallon Ambulance Service recently promoted Laurie Mendoza to the position of Paramedic.
A native of Mansfield, MA, Mendoza joined Fallon Ambulance Service in June of 2004 as an Emergency Medical Technician. She was previously employed as an Exercise Physiologist, a Personal Trainer and as an EMT.
Mendoza earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA. She has earned certification in CPR, PALS, ACLS and NRP. A resident of Norton, Mendoza holds a red belt in Martial Arts and enjoys boxing and sports.
“Laurie brings a professional background in working with people to her position here at Fallon Ambulance. We congratulate her on her hard work and achievements and we are confident that her many talents will bring great benefit to her patients,” said Stephanie Eastwick, Director of Human Resources for Fallon Ambulance Services.
Sheri Clements
Fallon Ambulance Service also recently promoted Sheri Clements to the position of paramedic.
A native of Warwick, RI, Clements brings a strong background in the medical industry to her new position with Fallon Ambulance. Her experience includes data entry, typing and working as a medical assistant for several facilities. Clements earned an Associates Degree in Science from the New England Institute of Technology, an Emergency Medical Technician certificate and a paramedic license from Cape & Islands Emergency Medical Services. In addition, she has earned certification in CPR, PALS and ACLS. A resident of Taunton, Clements enjoys reading and exercising.
