Fallon Ambulance Service Donates Ambulance To Weymouth Civil Defense

Fallon Ambulance Service, a three-generation, family-operated ambulance service with headquarters in West Quincy recently donated an ambulance to the town of Weymouth for use by their Civil Defense.

The retired ambulance will be used by the Weymouth Civil Defense as they serve the community. Weymouth Civil Defense Officers are around town during storms and hurricanes. They assist the Police Department with evacuations, road closures and detours, and help transport people during severe storms. They also assist in missing person searches.

“Our job is to be prepared for any situation and the generous donation of this vehicle will further ensure that we are ready and able to assist the people of Weymouth,” said Weymouth Civil Defense Director John Mulveyhill. “Fallon Ambulance serves the citizens of Weymouth everyday and we enjoy a great working relationship.”

In past years Fallon has donated retired ambulances to needy areas such as the remote areas of Poland, Haiti and the Dominican Republic to allow patients better access to health care. In addition the company donated an ambulance to the New England Aquarium to assist them in transporting stranded or wounded animals.

“We are pleased to have our retired ambulance put to good use with the Weymouth Civil Defense. They serve the community at many events, from parades to the Fourth of July fireworks and we know the additional vehicle will assist them in their efforts” said Peter Racicot, Senior Vice President of Business Development.
