Fallon Ambulance Service Receives Superior Ratings from State Agency
Fallon Ambulance Service, the region's largest independent, family-owned ambulance service provider, has received superior ratings from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Office of Emergency Medical Services.
The Ambulance Regulatory Program report states, “It is the consensus of the MDPH/OEMS inspectional staff that other ambulance services in the Commonwealth would benefit from emulating many of the operational and oversight systems currently in place at Fallon Ambulance Service.”
The inspections were conducted at the Fallon headquarters in Quincy and the ambulance garaging facilities located in Weymouth, Braintree, Brookline, Waltham and Milton along with the new facility located at 345 D Street in South Boston.
The report continues, “Given the number of units operated each day, the hours of operations, the varied crews assigned to vehicles and the demands of urban areas of operations, the conditions of this fleet of ambulances was impressive. Fallon Ambulance service has a highly evolved operation structure. Its dispatch and communications systems are well functioning. Core areas of communications have multiple redundancies. Their systems of sanitary control, material control, maintenance control and day-to-day managerial oversight have achieved superior performance levels. The service continues to review and evaluate its operations and actively seeks areas and methods for improvements.”
“We are delighted by this report and pleased to know that our hard work and continuous efforts to provide the finest service to our communities is recognized,” said Peter Racicot, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Fallon Ambulance Service. “Every day we seek new ways to improve every structure, service, equipment and professional training to earn the continued trust of our communities.”
